I absolutely love that she took something that made her feel shame through no actions of her own, and absolutely took her power back from the pervs who showed her their unsolicited dick picks. From the moment Cara stepped on stage to "my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. . . " the audience was with her. Cara helps us understand what it's like being a woman in a larger body and manages to poke fun at herself with photos and jokes without sliding into a kind of self-deprecation that would undermine her very triumphant message. Not an easy thing to do. I thought this show was well put together and creative from the storytelling to the audience participation, to the Fat Girl Bingo, to the slideshow with pithy jokes. A show staying genuinely funny and engaging while maintaining its emotional core is a difficult balancing act, but Cara pulls it off (and more).
