What I liked
The characters they chose to rap battle each other were SO well matched and SO funny. The party vibes were immaculate and so fun, and I wanted to come back every week for the character battles AND the vibe. From the minute you walk up to the theatre to the second you leave, you feel well-taken care of and totally entertained. I am STILL laughing about some of the characters and their absolute banger lines, and I can’t wait to come back and see another one.

Nothing. I loved every second of it.
My overall impression
Character rap battles featuring characters from other Fringe shows in a SUPER fun atmosphere. Going to The Smokeout feels like going to the best house party EVER: there was a taco stand outside, and everyone got a free taco with their ticket. Then you walk in and you’re greeted by the friendliest Front of House person (hi Ashley!). The programming was really smart: in between battles they had performances by hosts Zheryk and Wes, who are both SO talented and play off of each other beautifully. Plus the music is GREAT: I would see any show produced by this group just for the quality of music before the rap battles even began. And the rap battles were incredible! It was so smart to include so many Fringe participants to battle it out. It was a great way to get to know other Fringe shows in a fun, unique, and informal setting.
