What I liked
I’m not sure how many ways it can be said: go see this show! It’s so much fun, Katrina is so charismatic, the magic tricks are so well-done, you’ll laugh a ton… Pure joy comes through so clear in the performance. The twist in the story was delightful, and I applaud the ambition of bringing an overall story structure into a series of magic tricks.
What I didn't like
While the magic tricks were excellent, the storytelling aspect was just serviceable. I really loved the relationship Katrina formed with an audience member, and I would’ve loved to see her play with that more. The “Spy Con” concept was funny for a bit but felt pretty thin and contrived at times.
My overall impression
10/10 magic show! Prepare to be dazzled- Katrina is a master of her craft and we’re so lucky to have her show at Fringe!
