About the Project

I Think I Have A Show

A live experiment in becoming.

What if the hardest part of making a show… is making yourself?

In I Think I Have A Show, a queer, fed-up, spiritually conflicted butch queen enters an AI development facility with one goal: build a performance from scratch. Armed with nothing but a microphone, a costume and prop box, and a series of live prompts generated in real time, he attempts to construct the show he’s been circling for years.

The rules are simple:
Define your thesis.
Upload your trauma.
Simulate intimacy.
Optimize your brand.
Confirm your worth.

As the AI system guides him through a sequence of escalating creative directives, the process becomes less about writing a performance and more about confronting the fragmented versions of himself he’s learned to perform — in church, in therapy, on dating apps, in ballroom spaces, and online.

Each prompt forces him to embody a different draft of who he has been: the spiritual son trying to reconcile faith and queerness, the lover searching for authenticity, the performer chasing visibility, the man negotiating masculinity, and the artist desperate to feel whole.

But as the experiment unfolds, a question begins to surface:

Is the AI building the show…
or exposing the algorithm he’s been living inside?

Blending sharp humor, theatrical invention, vulnerability, and live meta-creation, I Think I Have A Show is a one-person performance about authorship, identity, and the exhausting pursuit of self-optimization. It’s about what happens when you stop performing the “final version” of yourself — and allow the audience to witness the draft.

By the end, what’s been created may not be a finished product.
But it might finally be honest.

And maybe that’s the show.
