What I liked
The performer playing Lewis is an incredible vocal talent, WOW!! But the actor playing the Bowler Hat Guy / adult Goob really stole the show. His comedic timing is perfect, really capturing the original character while putting his own flare on it. I was smiling the whole time he’d be on stage. The songs were catchy and fun, and the set pieces were minimal but really effective (using a chair as the time machine was really ingenious, honestly). The actors were also really quick on their feet—one of the funniest moments came from their reaction to a prop malfunction that was in-character and hilarious.
What I didn't like
Sitting closer to the piano, it was occasionally tough to hear on occasion the actors and singing, particularly top of show since they’re mostly on the opposite side of the stage.
My overall impression
This show is a MUST-SEE for fans of the original movie!! This musical captures the heart and fun of MEET THE ROBINSONS in a fresh take that is just a really enjoyable time. You’ll laugh, you’ll feel moved, you’ll want to sing along!
