The acting was excellent, the command of the material and characters made the play feel like witnessing a film. I also love history and timepieces and this play made me feel like I was in the room while the event happened. I also liked that, light albeit potentially unintentional, “comedy” or “funny phrasing” throughout the play, these moments were rare but it gave humanity to the characters the actors were portatying, and even if I didnt agree with the actors intentions, it made them feel more human, and made me connect with them more than had I not seen these sides of them
What I didn't like
A 10 minute set break during the show, gives an opportunityto stand and stretch, but also absorb, understand and discuss the material in the first half of the play
My overall impression
This was my first Fringe show, and I dont think I could have made a better choice. I wanted to be captivated, educated, and entertained, and got exactly that. The performances felt very organic and the acting was superb, I felt the emotions of the characters and weight of the material due to this, and was such a treat. If you enjoy great acting, a fascinating story, and a production that brings it all together this is your show, would love to see this show again!
