Immediate immersion with the classified dossier as the program. No theatrical lighting and all lit practically. The soundscape of footsteps and voice recordings added suspense and inspired active listening with silent reactions. All 4 actors were a solid ensemble, each character dealing with their own qualms and justifications. Great use of the stage and wonderful, full moments of stillness and silence. The equipment, costuming, and props were all very accurate to the period. I very much appreciated the immersion this play executed wonderfully.
What I didn't like
Where some would maybe have liked faster pacing or more dialogue, I don’t think this play calls for it. I was engaged and fully invested throughout.
My overall impression
A gripping, slow-burn espionage drama that puts you in the room with government agents as they collect recordings of MLK Jr’s final moments. Impressively executed with sharp, period-appropriate detail.
