I loved everything about the show, especially as someone who has spent a lot of time near the actual town of Bellingham. Hearing what was essentially a tv script/pitch out loud, reminded me how powerful oral storytelling is and how a good storyteller can transport you to another place- the audience was gasping, oooing and awwwing, and cheering for the characters of Bellingham Bay. And the personal history moments of the story were so real and gave meaningful context to this fantastical story.
What I didn't like
I needed more. I’m thinking a three book series that is then optioned and turned into a three season tv show? That might be enough.
My overall impression
This is one of the most amazing things I have even seen. The writing was tight, the performance keyed in, and the tech elements perfection. This healed my Millennial soul for 90 minutes and I need more.
