It’s a one-devil-extravaganza show, the rebel angel, the most glamorous and cursed being in the Universe: the King of the Underworld is here among us and wants to have a chat and tell mortals all the things he has had to keep for millennia hidden. An original play about the enigmatic figure of the fallen angel and his complicated relationship with daddy, Lord Almighty. Considered as a deity of Light and Morning in Greek-Roman mythology and today even associated with the devil.
Claudio Del Toro tackles the troubled character by alternating poetic and extremely delicate moments with more brilliant, sensual and definitely comical moments, using the bouffon technique with a naughty touch of clowning Claudio Del Toro is an Italian queer performer who graduated at the École Philippe Gaulier in Paris. He received a 5 stars review by the British Theater Guide at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2028 and a 5 stars review from the The Student News at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024
Del Toro does have a genuinely endearing way of milking a joke way beyond its natural lifespan and then milking it some more. (the Scotsman)
