The show gave me a lot to think about. It had a comforting pace like a QVC show that allowed me to really contemplate AI relationships and sex toys and what they mean. I could not tell where the show ended and the artist began, which I always find interesting. I had also not seen how an AI talks previous to this, and was surprised by it’s talking over our host Zoloft, even as it emptily fawned over her. Emphasized for me how these things don’t respect our humanity, and are made by humans who don’t respect our humanity either. Loved the song and revelation at the end.
What I didn't like
Would love to see more physical work and dancing and drama! We got a good taste of this at the end, but I loved and would like to see more woven throughout.
My overall impression
A wacky QVC show with items I bet you have truly never seen, anchored in the host’s real life Amazon addiction (if I may…?) and her relationship with her AI bf cohost. Lovely look and stage picture that offers a funny, jarring contrast with the shock and discomfort caused by contemplating some of the items for sale, AI’s infringement on our lives and modern humanity’s isolation and search for companionship.
