The dollar bill attached to the program, a very nice touch. It made sure everyone in the audience was able to be included. Godoy’s opening performance was high energy and killer! Pumping the audience up for a crazy show!
What I didn't like
The relationship/interactions from Alec, at times it felt stiff/awkward. I also didn’t love knowing that there was going to be a plant in the audience. I wonder if there is a way around it, maybe such as leaving Alec off the original playbill and handing his out after the show. Or changing Alec’s actor throughout the show.
I think maybe making Alec less hesitate or maybe not say no as much, would help to aid the audience to not feel as if he is being forced to do.
Also some lighting/sound cues to smooth over the transitions between indoor and outdoor scenes.
My overall impression
Dragged is a fun show that marries drag with theatre. Godoy opens the show with an AMAZING show stopping performance to welcome us as her audience to her talk show, before she pulls one of us up to be put on blast. Alec ends up getting exposed, and Godoy takes us on a journey of cheating, queer dating, LA nightlife, and supporting your fellow person.
