It starts strong with Godoy’s exhilarating lip sync of “When You’re Good To Momma” The concept of pulling an audience member on the stage and then rake them over the coals works and is intreguing and worth further exploration
What I didn't like
Once Alec comes to the stage, the energy level between the two drops. Moments are uncomfortable (it feels like a painfully awkward episode of Jerry Springer) and feel like an improv that lost its mojo. Again, this is a potential winner and I hope Alec continues to tweak the process towards something more rewarding for the audience because I like the elements that he brings into play and i think both Godoy and Alec have good chemistry. I hope they keep the pair together in further iterations.
My overall impression
This one has promise but may need to be workshopped longer (Which is one of the great things about Fringe Festivals. You find out what works and what can be improved.)
