What I liked
Use of mic attached to the tape measurer was an amazing production detail that made me smile every time Doofus used it. Doofus’ conversations with THE Land Lord were surprisingly touching and added depth to his character at the same time that they continued to expose his capitalist ridiculousness. Spoiler alert: I didn’t expect the show to get so bloody, but I loved the physicality of the car crash climax! I’m glad Doofus and Doofus 2 were wearing their helmets <3
What I didn't like
fix the dang laundry machine cuz your tenants are running out of clean clothes!!!
My overall impression
Gut-busting physical comedy with over-the-top facial expressions that feel like some of the best Looney Toons gags in real life. As a performer, Cole has you laughing at the idiocy of the worst landlord of all time who’s constantly failing both his tenants and fellow landlords. Cole also masterfully brought audience members into the gaffes of the landlord’s world, and earned all of our trust even while pushing some of the audience into stranger and more outrageous situations.
