What I liked
There is so much to say about this show but I don’t want to give away any spoilers. Cole has clearly put a lot of work into defining Doofus’s voice and perspective. I loved the prayer sequence and the various voices Doofus uses. Hilarious bits and riffs with great pacing. “Pitbull’s gotta eat” killed me.
What I didn't like
No notes. Going to this show feels like attending a party. Go to this party.
My overall impression
This show is special, unique and hilarious. From minute one, Doofus is a fully 3D, fully authentic character, exuding so much love, we can’t help but love them back. This show has it all. From twists and turns, to bitters and limbo. It’s a vacation in Triplett’s playful imagination and a masterclass in what happens when clowns are brave enough to take big swings with earned confidence. SEE THIS SHOW
