What I liked
I like the mic taped to the measuring tape. I liked when the bike fell apart. Cole is soo funny and so deeply inhabits the character I just love watching him get into trouble and just being a doofus about it. The character is so fully realized, I was excited to see any new part of his temperament — what does he look like frustrated, sad, joyful, mad. Every new mood was a new fun thing to see and to explore. Cole is a gifted improviser and really playful and the show was a joy. Hilarious throughout.

My overall impression
Set inside the world of landlords — a kind of alt/reality where landlord is an important and meaningful title — Doofus is an hilarious character clown show with Cole’s delightful performance at its center. Lots of fun — so many funny voices and asides, cool and inventive props, unexpectedly tender, with jokes and surprises throughout.
