Emma has poured her heart and soul into this piece, and it shows! “Mom” is a modern-day bouffon character, passive-aggressively bullying the audience right from the start — but always with a wink, and grounded with Emma’s essential warmth. A scorching satire of 21st century American work-culture that prods us to ponder, “what do we do after we destroy that?” The ending is beautiful.

My overall impression
A transmutation of corporate girlboss trauma into comedy, weirdness, music, and ultimately, hope.
