Mandy perfectly paints the portrait of a fly-woman down on her luck trying to find love and friendship in a junkyard with so much heart and vivid imagery that it felt like watching a storybook come to life for a lot of the performance. She immediately earns the audience's sympathy and trust, so that when she started to push our boundaries towards the end of the show, we always knew we were in good hands. I loved watching the fly slowly shedding her layers as the story goes on, and Mandy's vulnerability and sincerity shined through all the outlandish set pieces like pulling a corndog from her pants, running on a treadmill until the audience says she can stop (which she kept up for an impressively long time in the show I saw!), and sitting thr...

Mandy creates a wonderful connection with the audience whilst portraying the story of the ultimate underdog: a fly. I really enjoyed her creativity in story-telling and her willingness to put it all out there and sweat for her audience. Her show portrays softness and courage and challenges the audience to meet her in this playful state....

This will be one of the shows that people will talk about having seen at this years festival. This solo clown show stands alone with concept, creativity and execution. Oh to be a fly! Mandy really embodies this character. I enjoyed seeing the day in the life of this fly and learning about her struggles. The physical choices were really fun and exciting. Mandy really built an engaging world with this one....
