The show is anchored by strong performances from each actor, and the blocking/staging of tale is effective and well thought out; makes good use of a relatively barren stage (one major piece notwithstanding). A late practical effect that comes into play is unexpected and fun. The writing is empathetic, at times quite funny, and set things up well; you think it will be a more straightforward political allegory and then it shifts to a different agenda in an interesting way.
What I didn't like
The story, particularly after revealing its real intent, becomes pretty didactic. The central argument loses some steam at the end by presenting an opposing view that feels a little half baked.
My overall impression
A well performed and well staged fable that serves as both a challenge to ones set ways but also, and conversely, as an in-group cautionary tale.
