What I liked
I liked everything. Gretchen was such a delight to watch, and the story was so compelling! It deserves a TV series, or a film!
I also loved how the piece weaves in critiques of patriarchal religion. That topic will never get old to me — at least until it stops interfering with and ruining people’s lives.
What I didn't like
Gretchen deserves to win that lawsuit and take over all the cottages!!
My overall impression
Gorgeously done solo show. Gretchen’s command of storytelling, her use of multimedia, the way she used a looper with the microphone to create simple but effective musical soundscapes that augmented the performance, the character work, and her effortless charm were all so effective.
