I loved the multimedia elements and how seamlessly they were interspersed throughout the show. The clips of other characters in the story (played by Gretchen) were so well done and helped bring to life the kind of people she was dealing with at the time.
I loved the live vocal looping onstage when she was recounting the histories of forgotten women. It really helped set the mood for those moments!

My overall impression
An outstanding solo show by a magnetic storyteller. The true story itself is absolutely wild, and it’s told with such smart writing and builds very organically. Gretchen is an incredibly engaging storyteller who is also a fantastic actress, singer, and comedian, and she weaves those talents together flawlessly to make this a true one woman SHOW.
She immediately let us know who she is and where she came from in a way that built a perfect foundation for the rest of the story. And it left us wanting more, as the story is ongoing.
