What I liked
The show was so funny and it makes the moments of raw personal trauma even more resonant. You’re crying at the end but you’ve been laughing nonstop the 50 minutes prior. Brendan’s voice is so well honed.
What I didn't like
You could punch up the Angelina Jolie reference to someone who has a big family. Sorta caught me in the moment as dated. And I only say that because I have nothing else to possibly say here. I thought it was so great and such an incredible presentation of you.
My overall impression
In The Abyss, Brendan Scannell perfectly weaves together laugh out loud comedy and heart wrenching tragedy. The show is unique and powerful and a perfect presentation of Brendan as a performer. It’s very much worth your time.
