What I liked

Practical, artist‑focused content: Each workshop tackles a different real aspect of creating work for the Fringe from writing solo pieces to devising ensemble performances. This specificity makes the series genuinely useful.

Collaborative spirit: The inclusion of networking and interactive sessions fosters community among artists, which is core to the Fringe ethos and enhances the overall value of attendance.

What I didn't like

Audience clarity: Because this isn’t a performance, some patrons might be unsure what to expect if they stumble upon the series without context. Highlighting who would benefit most (writers, performers, directors, etc.) more explicitly in the promotional copy could help.

My overall impression

HFF26’s Creative Workshop Series is an energizing and thoughtful addition to the Hollywood Fringe Festival lineup. Rather than a traditional show, it’s a curated set of hands‑on sessions that feel like a behind‑the‑scenes pass into the heart of Fringe artistry. The experience is less about passive observation and more about active engagement, making it especially meaningful for festival participants and theatre makers alike.
