About the Project
JOE"S PARADISE is a romantic comedy about a bikini bar in rural America that gets turned upside after the owner dies and leaves it to his estranged gay son, who wants to tear down the strip joint to build a strip mall. The dancers unite to save “Joe’s Paradise”, taking back their power from the men in their lives and becoming a kind of family in the process. The 90 min comedy has no intermission and includes several musical Burlesque numbers, so the audience will feel like they are actually at a strip club.
