Lee Blessing's "Two Rooms" is a well written, thoughtful, subtle examination of the agonizing stresses faced by the wife a long time middle east American hostage. Lainie (Belinda Gosbee) can only survive by turning her husbands home office into a cell that mirrors the various cells that her husband Michael (Christopher Devinny) occupies. Both find strength in each others imagined presence. Lainie is faced with the dilemma of whether to use the press to publicize her husbands cause. Making the cases for and against are journalist Walker (Mario Vernazza) and State Department Apparatchik Ellen (Catherine Siggins). Their own dilemmas, self interest and the demands of their jobs versus growing sympathy for Lainie add another layer to this well b... full review

I'm a mere onlooker but must express that I think Amir Korangy directed a compelling display of heart & soul. The monologue delivered by Chris Divinny (Michael) painted a vivid picture of what any person might experience in this circumstance. Belinda Gosbee (Lainie) had me in tears with her valid emotional outbursts, semi-crazy laughter and calm stares from her deep rooted emotional scale. She made it easy to empathize with her character. Catherine Siggins (Helen) was on point with her official character. Mario Vernazza (Walker) played his edgy reporter role so well, I forgot I was at a play. And the onstage chemistry between Walker and Lainie was undeniable. These people are going places. I loved it.... full review

The whole play set with the simplest stage there can be telling the most emotionally complicated piece. I think Amir(Director)did a great job setting the tone and direction for the play, and the actors executed the performance with thire passion and souls. It's a play that will hit most audience's home hard.... full review

I highly recommend people check out this performance. 'Two Rooms' is a confronting, yet at times humorous, but at all times, a very relevant piece of theater delivered by a really strong ensemble of actors led by Belinda Gosbee. Go and see it!... full review

A script that has little original to say; direction that manages to miss any genuine human feeling or connection between the characters and saddles the production with interminable blackouts; acting that, for the most part, is unconvincing, intoned and one-note. Does this represent Los Angeles theater? I hope not.... full review

The level of commitment and conviction displayed on that stage was of a level that far exceeds ones perhaps cynical perceptions of Fringe Theater. It was watching artists at their finest. Belinda's ability to evoke such multilayered facets to her character, all while producing her first show- is a remarkable feat. This production is a tour- de- force!... full review
