What I liked
The music is genuinely incredible. It’s bop after bop. I’m starting to annoy those around me with how often I have started singing “people think we’re straight, but we’re not straight”. I can’t get these catchy tunes out of my head.
What I didn't like
I’m genuinely really struggling to think of anything! One observation is that the initial turn into the low point/climax of the show still had jokes (“This is really bad news for anyone planning their wedding”). I laughed really hard at these jokes and then realized how tragic it was and felt almost bad about laughing. The jokey nature of even the most tragic part of the show might be exactly what you are hoping for, but it’s worth mentioning.
My overall impression
If you want to smile for an hour, this is the perfect show for you. Micah and Marnina’s chemistry is electric as they sing and laugh their way through the woes of wedding planning. The story is tender, uplifting, and laugh out loud hilarious. Somehow the show is both very polished and feels like you are getting to witness something that is happening for the very first time. I didn’t want it to end!
