This will be the world premiere of Phoenix, a one-act scientific thriller by Scott Fivelson. Phoenix: The
Radio Play was recorded and released in 2015 by the Cleveland Radio Players, and is available in
paperback, audiobook, and on vinyl record.
A screenwriter, playwright, and director, Scott Fivelson’s other works include the one-act plays Dial L for
Latch-Key and Leading the Witness, which have been produced in London, Belfast, San Francisco, and
elsewhere. He co-wrote and produced the film American Reel, a comedy/drama about the music biz,
starring David Carradine (Tarantino’s Kill Bill films), Michael Maloney (Truly, Madly Deeply), and Mariel
Hemingway (Personal Best).
Scott Fivelson was also the writer/director of the award-winning Hollywood comedy biopic, Near Myth:
The Oskar Knight Story, starring Lenny Von Dohlen (Twin Peaks) as legendary director, Oskar Knight. Also
featuring Academy Award winner Margaret O’Brien, International Emmy winner David Suchet, Joaquim
de Almeida, Rudolf Martin, Julianna Guill, and many more, Oskar Knight continues to show up in
cinemas and at film societies in the U.S. and internationally.
