What I liked
I loved the character! The line between actor and character was blurred and I fully bought into the world. I loved Mrs. Hughes, she was a feisty and fiery person and extremely charismatic! She reminded me of unsinkable molly brown!
I could sit and watch this woman perform for longer than fifty minutes.
The music is excellent and eclectic! Soul; punk; rock; country. The vocals are insane! The band is on point! A well oiled machine! The lighting was exceptional!
She had a rock! An actual light up asteroid.
I loved the spirituality and it just made me feel good!
THE SHOW IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!
What I didn't like
I want more plot. I want to know more about Mrs.Hughes. I kind of feel like the main plot got wrapped up towards the very beginning and then she was just being philosophical for the rest, which was fine, and one of the reasons I was crying, some true gems. But I think there’s a bigger story to be fleshed out. I also think it’s a darker story. I think Mrs. Hughes psyche can be delved into a little more. I wish it were longer! I enjoyed the character!
My overall impression
This show rocks! (Pun intended) Liz Eldridge is a rockstar! I was crying through most of it because her words are so powerful and comforting. She holds space for humanity and gives them lots of love! Will I see it again? ABSOLUTELY!!!
