Moroz’s sharp, on her toes (in mesh stilettos!) performance delivers plenty of heart, strong choices, and b.s. so skilled you’ll wish she sat next to you in debate. Funny, charming, and a really good listener, Moroz is mesmerizing as Tiffany Caputo and it was an absolute pleasure to step into her world! Props also to her onstage husband, Garry, and their shared electric energy.
What I didn't like
Tarot appeared to be the psychic tool Moroz was most familiar with, and that trickled down to Caputo, who felt more in control of her ‘gifts’ during that reading, which enriched the delightfully silly experience. It would serve the piece for the performer to invest as strongly in the other medians of medium. The inevitable climax felt a bit forced and I wish there were more content behind the readings, but all in all, the most fun I’ve had at HFF25!
My overall impression
A foggy theatre and a killer preshow soundtrack set the stage for a 90s psychic seminar! Enter Tiffany Caputo, Long Island’s other medium: tight dress, big hair, bigger personality! This is character work at its finest, and a prime example of a performer taking care of her audience, a true shepherdess of her volunteers.
