The optional talk-back after the show was a good way to reflect on the themes and hear different perspectives. I am still thinking about the themes.
What I didn't like
Suggest sitting in the front rows where it is easier to hear.
My overall impression
I admire this play for the way it raises important and difficult topics while being entertaining and humorous.
The characters and their stories drew me in. The actors embody the depth of the characters which allows the deep relationships between Jo, Dejah, Chris and Briar to shine through while they talk about the personal impacts of climate change, racial justice, family relationships, and the decision to have a child.
This play shows that it’s possible for friends to engage in meaningful conversations about emotionally charged topics and emerge with deeper relationships and new perspectives.
