What I liked

I saw myself reflected in the tension between individual responsibility and systemic inaction—a struggle I carry daily. The play didn’t shy away from difficult truths, especially around how eco-anxiety intersects with racism and historical injustice. That kind of nuance is rare and necessary. The choice to center a flood in an unexpected place added to the emotional depth, and the after-show conversation with the producer made the experience even more meaningful. It felt like a real moment of community.

What I didn't like

Honestly, not much. My only thought is that I hope this show gets more visibility, as it deserves to reach a wider audience. As it stands, it’s powerful, thoughtful, and full of heart.

My overall impression

I absolutely loved BABY/STUFF. It’s one of the most honest and imaginative explorations of climate anxiety I’ve seen on stage. The characters were deeply relatable, the dialogue sharp, and the story left me thinking long after the lights came up. It managed to hold the weight of the climate crisis with both care and creativity.
