The pacing was just what it needed to be. I appreciated the minimalist aspect of the set, and its shifting was blocked brilliantly.
Both the actors had incredible understanding of their characters and the dialogue. Their chemistry! Wow!
What I didn't like
It’s the tiniest nitpick, but the invisible door choreography in the first scene could have been improved.
My overall impression
When do our hopes become delusions, and is hope just delusion with a sense of clarity and purpose? “Below Zero” is a fable-esque dialogue that tries to capture the answer to that question. It’s a gut-punch you want to have, hitting you perfectly enough to recover with the characters. Well-written, phenomenally directed, and with an all-star cast. There is nothing like this on stage!
