What I liked
Look: Lane is one of the most lovable comedians in the game. The character he creates is so charming, so funny, so sad. The songs (about golf) tell a story, but that barely matters — you’ll be laughing at every line.
I love his commitment to the bit: the fact that every song is literally about golf makes the show one long joke. It got funnier and funnier as it goes on because there is yet another song full of golf metaphors. (So many idiotic gems)
Be warned: you’ll have songs about golf stuck in your head: I woke up today with one on repeat in my mind. Ear-hole-in-one.
What I didn't like
He wasn’t selling an album of songs at the door? No merch? What gives? (5 Stars, will see again)
My overall impression
I had so much funnnn. Songs About Golf is precisely that — and the specificity makes this an absurdity gem of comedy.
