What Jamar Gilbert accomplishes in “Black and Blue” is nothing short of alchemy. With a body as vessel and voice as instrument, he channels an array of distinct souls with full embodied lives. The writing is sharp, poetic, and above all – honest.

“Black and Blue” leaves a lasting impression as both a masterclass in performance and a deeply human exploration of identity. It’s the kind of experience that lingers long after the lights go down. A must-see experience.
