clown show
Clown Show that does clown right down to a tee. Comedy reminiscent of Borat and/or Andy Kaufman. Kami Dimitrova (the actress) plays an Eastern European girl trying to fit in American culture, and working a new job as a waitress in her dad's restaurant. She interacts with the audience well and has a well-thought out structure, constantly in character despite any mishaps (by the audience). Kami showcases many talents in her production including singing and playing musical instruments. A 5-star comedy!...

This show was PURE JOY. So simple, easeful, and brilliantly executed. While watching Kami Girl, you can relax and feel like a kid again. We have so much trust in Kami as a performer to take care of us. She listens so deeply and has such a special gift of sensitivity that drives the play and sweetness in her work! Everyone in the audience was just HAPPY, smiling, and laughing....

One of the best clown shows I've ever seen. Kami is a powerhouse of stupidity, sensitivity, and joy. Her physical, vocal, and emotional range are miles long and we just get to sit back and enjoy. ...

Kami is such a precise clown and this show is so wackadoo it's impossible not to fall in love. She made me nostalgic for an era of Eastern Bloc comedy I wasn't even previously aware of. How do you do that....

This in an unhinged delight. Kami is so committed to this character and the ebbs and flows of the show are strange and surprising and also wonderful. If you like clownwork at all, or kooky character explorations, definitely see this....

Kami Girl: Let's Go, Tonight! is joyful, absurd, and refreshingly unhinged. It’s a playful character study wrapped in a fever dream wrapped in a crumpled café menu. The world Kami builds is rich, silly, and weirdly relatable. Watching her try (and fail) to navigate adult responsibilities with the emotional intelligence of a 9-year-old is truly a gift. If you love comedy that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still hits with heart and imagination, Kami Girl: Let's Go, Tonight! is not to be missed. Do yourself a favor and SEE THIS SHOW!...

This is one of my favorites this year at Fringe, so happy I got to see it here. Kami is an incredible performer and JC adds a lot to the show as well. The musical components were some of my favorite and added a lot of dimension. Lots Lots Lots of laughs and sweet moments and emotion. Kami's character and voice work is a real masterful piece of work. I kind of fell in love with Kami Girl, even though it sort of is all her fault... ...
