What I liked

I loved the sexual energy that permeated every scene—it felt like at any moment someone could jump someone’s bones. Which would have been a welcome occurrence, given this winsome cast. Each actor turned in a sharp performance. I loved Cox’s script with its unexpected plot twists. The pacing was spot-on. Overall, a thoughtful, sexy romp around a heavy subject with real-world implications.

What I didn't like

My overall impression

If “M3GAN” were a gay rom-com, it would be “Sentience.” C. Jay Cox has written a tight, brilliant show that sheds light on the nuances and complexities of humans working with machines in 2025. I appreciated so much Cox’s even-handed tone in interrogating the mix of art and artificial intelligence, a subject that has often kept me up at night. In the playwright-director’s deft hands, the show was a pure delight. Five out of five. 5/5. *.
