I loved how immediate the immersion was for us as soon as we check in to grab seats. It felt like we were participants of a form of defiance, however limited we are in speech, we still have either a personal/in character reason to be in a theatrical show despite the turmoil happening in real life/within the world of the play. I also like how we can participate and be involved in it.
What I didn't like
I was left wondering if certain topics brought up within the story can be further expanded. I felt like they were brought up and then after a couple dialogues they moved on. I totally understand though that within interest of time, plus providing beats for audience participation, that it would be a tough balance act.
My overall impression
A thought-provoking and compelling piece that immerses the audience into a dystopian not too far from us and urges us to partake in it throughout the piece, but also after it by supporting and understanding the importance of art.
