Charlie’s, WeHo is the next step for queer theatre as the world of gay clubs. burst onto the stage with unapologetic queerness and creating an open door for anyone to be welcomed into a classically protected queer space. Alix, Bryce, Tanner, Melody and Charlie keep the bar running like a well oiled machine, until a young man, Leo, enters Charlie’s and finds himself in need on his first night out in West Hollywood. After being welcomed into the space, the bar staff helps Leo begin his own unique journey in his queerness as he begins to work at the bar, and find his place within the community. A story of coming of age within queer experience, Charlie’s, WeHo highlights intersectionality within minority groups and the comfort that can be found within a queer chosen family.
