What I liked

I really enjoyed the way each player imagined their roles, costumes and prop choices. The prompts at the beginning covered the gamut, and to make things even more interesting we had character and genre suggestions as well as settings and problems. The mix of audience contribution and pre-approved story constraints works to give everyone some fun but flexible guidelines to power our shared storytelling – with satisfying payoffs for each quest that emerges.

What I didn't like

My only drawbacks to this show are entirely personal – one, I am new to this style of storytelling and two, I’m a morning person. So starting a brand new experience at 9:30 on a Friday was a little uncomfortable but not unsafe or un-fun. Just personally unpreferable. Also, I’m SO glad that our audience roles in the world of “Ancient Rome-ish” were bakers at a convention – and not the Senate!

My overall impression

An inviting playground to make believe with champion pretenders. Such a fresh take on improv meets immersive theater, meets games where you can’t lose, and if you start singing everybody sings along.
