What I liked
This guy is insanely talented. Genuinely. He can play the bass, the piano and also beatboxes very well. He can also finger drum. His sense of timing is insane. From his well crafted jokes to his cool beatbox skills. This guy has excellent timing
What I didn't like
If i could improve on one thing it would be the utilization of his music skills. There were times where i was genuinely impressed by his skills but it never seemed to go anywhere. I would’ve loved a song about one of his childhood memories. Or more beatboxing. Genuinely Kevin August is so insanely talented that I was left a bit underwhelmed only because he clearly has the skills to do some insane musical comedy. His beatboxing skills alone are S-teir. Im a music guy and when i saw the computer and keyboard i was getting ready for him to start producing some tracks. The show is still good, i just thought Kevin was underselling himself a bit since clearly he can play multiple instruments.
My overall impression
Kevin August delivers a hilarious hour about his childhood and constantly moving around. He utilizes powerpoints, music and finger drumming in order to execute his ideas on the tight rope he walks between people pleaser and corporate shill.
