What I liked
I love the interaction with the audience as sort of an immersive experience when one could choose to participate or not but how could one not. Really fun and really clever. Laural had an inviting manner so that we really did want to be a part of her journey. And as one who had heard of Sophie Tucker but didn’t really know too much of her background, I loved how Laural incorporated her personal story resulting in an interwoven biographical/autobiographical theatrical experience.
What I didn't like
For me it all worked just beautifully. Hope she takes it on the road!
My overall impression
Ms Tucker was so entertaining and a really a great choice considering what is going on in our great city. I needed the escape and was engaged for the full 80 minutes with some laughs, some song, and some reflection. Laural Meade is one talented, inspiring woman.
