What I liked
Laurel Mead’s voice is flawless. I loved being taken on a very personal ride with Laurel which touched on body image, sex and menopause. Through her poignant observations and heartfelt retelling of Sophie Tucker’s life, I felt so seen too. I’d never heard of Sophie Tucker and now realise my favourite dance duo, Sofi Tukker, are paying homage to the great lady of vaudeville. Thanks for helping the penny drop Laurel!

A masterclass in musical storytelling. Vulnerable, poignant and hugely fun and entertaining all at the same time.
