Great singing, funny jokes, and delightful audience interaction.
What I didn't like
More glitter :)
My overall impression
Part cabaret, part history lesson, part group therapy. The performer masterfully sings and jokes her way though Sophie Tucker’s bawdy material, while adding important context about the what was really going on with Sophie’s life at the time- punctuated by unflinching truths her own life. She weaves the three threads- bits, biography, and personal revelation- to create a surprising tapestry on sex, showbiz, and loneliness.
