What I liked
I knew some of the songs… I knew the jokes about her boyfriend, Ernie. I loved the personalized touch that was given to every song and chapter of Sophie’s life. I also loved Freddie, his banter, smile and extraordinary musical talent.
What I didn't like
I really could not find one thing to improve: From the gorgeous lighting, the exquisite sound and the passionate performance. Even the handsome guy you had at the Will call box was dedicated and enthusiastic. It truly was a 10 out of 10.
My overall impression
I was enthralled… not only by Laurel’s rendition of Sophie Tucker, but by her beautiful voice and the truth she revealed to us about her own life. My Husband loved it too. Today was our 21st wedding anniversary and there’s nothing we would rather have done than watch, laugh and be inspired by a Red Hot Mama!
