Saw this today at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. This is a must see!! Starring the incomparable Laural Meade with the amazing Fred Cassidy on piano. She intertwines Sophie’s life and her own life together so beautifully, you’ll be laughing and crying. With everything going on in our world right now, this was what the doctor ordered. This is a wonderful cabaret and comedy with heart. Laural Meade’s own life stories intertwined with the true life stories of Sophie Tucker, is charming and vulnerable. Fred Cassidy is a wonderful pianist and his chemistry with the leading lady makes for a wonderful performance. Laural had lovely crowd engagement and an incredible voice. I highly recommend attending this cabaret! ...
