There is so much heart in this show. Laural is in complete command on stage and the audience is loving every minute, laughing and crying and doing the shimmy! You get the history of Sophie Tucker and the era, lovingly rendered, but you also get so much of Laural herself. Through Ms. Tuckers life and her own, Laural explores themes of loneliness, the search for love, making your own way and finding meaning. A must-see at this year's festival.... full review

I love this show! Not only a beautiful, mesmerizing performance by Laural Meade, this show is very funny and a loving tribute to vaudeville legend Sophie Tucker. Fred Cassidy, on piano, plays opposite Laural with musical charm and witty repartee. Laural has a natural, masterful, ability to work the audience and include us in the show, giving us a shared, electrifying live theater experience. ... full review

I am so glad I was able to see this show. Not only is it wildly funny, it’s clever, original, informative, enlightening, and well done. Laura Mead does a fantastic job of not only portraying the life of Sophie Tucker, but intertwining her personal life story throughout the performance. She does an excellent job as a one person show and has a fantastic pianist which gives the show an added touch of magic. Her interaction with the audience makes it feel personal and connected and makes you want to come back a second time! Bravo!!!!... full review
