Full disclosure: I've been a fan of Laural (and this show) since the first time I saw it almost a year ago. I am so elated that Laural brought it to the Hollywood Fringe! This is everything I want in a Fringe show: history, stellar performance, witty banter and all the feelings. There's a reason this show keeps popping up in Hollywood: it's fantastic and audiences are finding out. Don't miss this one! ...

Ms Tucker was so entertaining and a really a great choice considering what is going on in our great city. I needed the escape and was engaged for the full 80 minutes with some laughs, some song, and some reflection. Laural Meade is one talented, inspiring woman....

Laural Meade is stunning, hilarious, and oh-so-moving in this tour de force show. This shiksa can sing, shake it and shines to perfection in her deep and courageous take on Miss Tucker and herself. Laural bounces from from ballsy & breezy to vulnerable & gut-wrenching with masterful ease. And her interplay with Fred Cassidy, her wonderful accompanist, and with the audience, is delightful and right on target - fun, unforced and sexy. Do not miss this show!!!! ...

This show was well researched and beautifully presented. Part portrayal and part biography, Laural Meade created a beautiful production. I'm so glad that I was able to see this presentation....

Entertaining, heartfelt, intriguing and titilating! Laural Meade takes you a on journey highlighting key moments and songs from Sophie Tucker's life and work and manages to divulge her own personal discoveries along way. Heart strings were pulled! I loved it. Fred Cassidy sparkles on the piano and they had me in their palm the whole time. Great show! Don't miss it!...

All the church choir paid off - Laural's voice knocks you out. I had a lot of fun in the "blue" and the layering of her life story over Ms. Tucker's was so enjoyable. I'm still jingling the bells. ...

Laural Meade is radiant, both as her extraordinary self and as the legendary Ms. Sophie Tucker. You will revel in her boisterous humor, poignant self reflection, immersive and inclusive storytelling, and her absolutely gorgeous vocals so beautifully enlivened and supported by Fred Cassidy on the piano. Do yourself a favor and come out to see this show - not only will you spend the evening with an extraordinary performer but, just maybe, you will learn a little something about yourself along the way....
