What I liked
The production design was so great. Gusth was a very charming addition to what was already a compelling character drama. I appreciate its serious themes and thought it also managed to really hit its comedic beats too.
What I didn't like
I think Gusth could have been tied a bit more strongly into the story’s resolution. In a more expanded version of the play, I think it also could be nice to have flashbacks to their time growing up.
My overall impression
This show was thoughtful, creative, and hilarious. Both actors brought such a lively energy to their performances and I absolutely loved the interplay with the puppet Opossum “Gusth”. The writing was sharp and emotional, gifting the show some really memorable moments
