Hailey Hudson stepped in last minute for our performance. I don’t know if she already knew the lines, but she absolutely crushed the dialogue and flow of the show. Spencer Wright’s performance was very animated and heartfelt. Set decoration and props were so we’ll down, as was Gusth! Who knew a roadkill puppet could be cute? (And so wise!)
What I didn't like
Gusth’s dialogue being pre-recorded makes sense for the needs of the show, but the difficulties I’m trying to sync his mouth moving to the track took me out of it a bit.
My overall impression
Absolutely stunning production. Knowing how little time there is to set-up/strike, getting everything up and running in such a short amount of time makes the show that much more impressive. The story felt universally relatable, but also held such a specific dynamic that really pulled the show together.
