What I liked

Hailey McAfee polishes up a steely performance as a bottle blonde Fox News talking head/ NRA spokeswoman wearing power powder blue. The play, co-written with director Rosie Glen-Lambert, stays on its harrowing course and doesn’t flinch. Solid, complementary stagecraft supports this Fringe show, but could be expanded upon in a full production, one that this play deeply deserves. One of the best dramas in this year’s Fringe and maybe one of the Top Ten productions of this L.A. theater season.

What I didn't like

Did this play get cut down to fit its 90 minute time slot? One child character is developed skillfully with incisive detail, but the others aren’t, so their later actions don’t feel earned. This riveting play could use another 10 or 15 minutes. Might also want to add ellipsis (“…”) at the beginning of the title. It worked for “… & Juliet.”

My overall impression

You want mercy? You want catharsis? It doesn’t hurt to want.
