I liked the humor, the hypocrisy, the depth and pathos.
It was extremely well acted by both actors. I was on the ride and fully immersed..
What I didn't like
I thought the writing, directing and score were also impressive. As a writer, I’m most aware of that aspect. I loved how she strung out the suspense of the plot and the humor and humanity along the way. I don’t care to find any flaws with it. It was well crafted and an extremely moving journey..
My overall impression
The acting was awesome. The character was complicated and layered. I didn’t agree with her but I found myself sympathetic to her plight like I found myself when I watched Kate Winslet in “The Reader”.
The music and the character of the musician offered an interesting counterpoint – both with pros and cons – even though her part was small it was very impactful.
